Royal Holloway, University of London. A wonderful 3 years, and proof that if you really want to achieve something, you can do it (see the About Me page!). As well as studying English, I also worked here, and my office was in this gorgeous building.
Graduation day, 15 July 1999. Princess Anne presented all the degrees at the ceremony.
With our dog, Darcy on Marloes Beach, Wales. Darcy was adopted from Battersea Old Windsor in 2003 and crossed the rainbow bridge in 2015. He is now keeping my dad company on the Other Side.
Primary school official photo, c1962. Stephen's hair had yet to go into the tight, woolly curls that he so hated (see bottom right pic!).
The Castle Gatehouse at Bath Spa University, where the Masters in Creative Writing seminars were held.
My dad's beloved Mercedes 420SL. He always wanted to travel to France in this, but didn't manage to do it. George & I made the journey in his memory a couple of years after his death.
My beautiful mum, Merrill, and my stepfather, Ray, happily married for more than 30 years.
A sunset seen from our Wiltshire garden.
Me and my dad, Tom.
My husband's favourite pic of me, age 32. At this time I was working my way to a brown belt in karate.
My brother, Stephen, in 1980, aged 25. He died from cancer in 1984. His face features on the cover of my novel 'Flight of the Kingfisher'.
